Unauthorized Epistemologies of Urban Migrancy
Location
Mexico
Date
June - August 2023
Role
Photographer + Researcher
"Unauthorized Epistemologies of Urban Migrancy" is a research project conducted through the Harvey Geiger Fellowship in Architecture at the Yale School of Architecture, focusing on urban development patterns in Mexico. The study involved fieldwork in Mexico City, Mérida, and Oaxaca, where I documented diverse urban typologies including informal settlements, labor-based economic zones, social housing developments, and suburban expansions. These photographs aim to reveal the material conditions and lived realities of workers within architectural and urban contexts, offering visual evidence of how economic and social forces shape the built environment across different Mexican regions.
